The working shelf
Worship and practice
Altars, devotion, circles, and a solitary drawing down of the moon. Instructions, not teasers.

Practice is what remains after the mood leaves. This shelf holds complete rites: materials, steps, words you may say or replace, a way to close, and a cheaper or quieter version.
None of these rites initiates you into a tradition that has initiators. They are household liturgy for a developing path. If you already belong to a coven or a temple, their rules outrank this website when the two conflict.
- Set an altar — the furniture of attention.
- Daily devotion — three sizes.
- Offerings and prayers — what to give.
- Open and close — beginning and ending so the room can be a room again.
- Cast a circle — a boundary, not a special effect.
- Self-dedication — a promise to your own practice, renewable, not an initiation.
- Drawing down the moon — a solitary adaptation. Not a Gardnerian script.
- Divine language — Goddess, God, many, none.
- Ancestors of care.
- Solitary and small groups.
- Discreet and low-cost.
