Astrology

Aspects

Angles between symbols. Orbs are conventions.

Reflective symbolism only. This site does not calculate a chart and does not describe the sky tonight.

☌

Conjunction

A conjunction is a meeting at the same degree, two symbols asked to share one seat, not an automatic fusion of fates.

⚹

Sextile

A sextile is a sixty-degree opening between symbols, a corridor that still requires someone to walk it.

□

Square

A square is a ninety-degree friction between symbols that share a mode of action and not a style of element, not proof you chose the wrong life.

△

Trine

A trine is a one-hundred-twenty-degree flow between signs of the same element, ease that can silt up if no one digs.

☍

Opposition

An opposition is a one-hundred-eighty-degree facing of symbols, a difference you can see, not a decree of enmity.

⚻

Quincunx

A quincunx is a one-hundred-fifty-degree awkwardness between signs that share neither element nor modality, an adjustment, not a minor curse.

Colophon

The Wilde Altar is a contemporary, gay-led educational project, written in our own time for study and for the altar at home. For medical, legal, or mental-health care, go to a qualified person.
