What this site actually does
Privacy
No accounts, no forms that send mail, no analytics. A few things live in your browser if you ask them to.
This website is a set of files. Reading it does not create an account. There is no login, no newsletter box, and no contact form. If you see one, it is not ours.
Stored only in your browser, and only if you use the feature
- Saved pages. The “Save this page” button writes a title and address into local storage under the key wilde-altar-saved-v1. Clearing site data removes it. We never receive the list.
- Journal. Entries stay under wilde-altar-journal-v1. Export downloads a file to your own computer. Clear deletes the local copy. Print uses your browser’s print dialog.
- Tarot draws are not saved unless you write them down. The shuffle uses your browser’s random numbers.
- Search queries stay on the search page. They are not sent to a search company. The index file is downloaded so the matching can happen on your machine.
What we do not do
- No third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or font servers. The type is on this site.
- No cookies are set by our own scripts. Your browser or your host may still keep ordinary server logs of addresses requested. That is the host’s business, not a Wilde Altar database. We do not operate a database.
- No sale of personal information, because we do not hold an account list to sell.
If this changes
A future class list or shop would need a new privacy note written before it launches, describing what is collected and why. Until that paragraph exists, those features do not exist.
